Lela's Tales from the Road: Jardin

Lela was able to visit the beautiful gardens of ‘Jardin Majorelle’ in Marrakesh, Morocco.  This garden was imagined by Jacques Majorelle, a French artist during the 1930s, and opened to the public in 1947. In 1980 it was purchased by Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Bergé, so the grounds would not be turned into a hotel complex.  Since then, these grounds are home to 300 plant species making it one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
