Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

LOCATED IN SARASOTA, FLORIDA, THE MARIE SELBY BOTANICAL GARDENS ARE A DEFINITE "MUST SEE!" right ON SARASOTA BAY, THERE IS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE, FROM ADULTS TO CHILDREN.

A few weeks ago, Dosatron's service manager went on a family outing to the Gardens. Along with a great visit, she ran into Addie Worth, one of their four horticulturists. Addie has been working at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens for nine years, and her primary focus is on growing the living collection in the greenhouse range.

"As a greenhouse horticulturist, the favorite part of my job is working with the diverse plant collections that have been brought here from all over the world. Figuring out how to grow a plant to its optimal health is a challenge that I enjoy," Addie explained.

Addie started out at the gardens as a volunteer, and she continues to love working with the volunteers who give their blood, sweat, and time for the good of the living collection.

Talking with Addie, our service manager discovered that they use Dosatron's along with our portable carts. There were at least three generations of DosaCarts!

Start planning your visit. The event list is long and includes upcoming exhibits and classes. For children, and those young at heart, there is the Children's Rainforest Garden with a 100-year-old Banyan tree as the centerpiece. It includes a waterfall, rope bridge, and a research station.
