NFL Studying Marijuana for Pain Management

PLAYING FOOTBALL CAN WEAR DOWN A BODY AND WITH THAT COMES PAIN. BECAUSE OF THIS, THE NFLPA IS LOOKING INTO THE POSSIBILITY OF USING CANNABIS AS A MEDICAL TOOL.

The NFLPA believes that marijuana could be a therapeutic option in the players' recovery. And now the NFL is joining them to work jointly, studying the use of marijuana as a pain management tool.

The Washington Post has already reported that football alumni are looking for marijuana as a way to manage their pain daily. Currently, football players are treated with beer, anti-inflammatories, and potent opioids.

As of now, the NFL still includes cannabis on its list of banned substances, but that might change. There are indicators that the NFL Commissioner might be willing to listen to medical advisers on the value of medical marijuana.
