irrigation system linked to a Dosatron D14MZ2 - 14 GPM fertilizer injector that was donated by Dosatron to support the horticulture industry and a Dilution Solutions Li'l Bud-D cart. The system was designed and built by the students and the greenhouse manager and provided a quick and efficient way to irrigate and fertilize the 800-plant crop.

The Hort 4070 course teaches, and provides, real-world experience for the floriculture students on how to manage a greenhouse and run a floriculture business. The full-time entrepreneur students fund their course and organize the activities. They have limited time between classes, so the irrigation system has been a time-saver. The Dosatron provides an accurate injection of the nutrients to the plants through the irrigation system, freeing up the student's time.
